The traditional sport of Cuba – baseball – still inspires heated debate in public plazas; however, on the streets, it’s soccer that kids want to play. In the shade of a cement gym packed with Soviet-era workout equipment, even amateurs enjoy staying fit in Cuba. Through this student work you will hear the crack the bat hitting a home run, see the lightning-fast footwork of perhaps the next Messi, and experience the intensity of finishing that final set in the gym.
