David Is currently a senior majoring in Kinesiology with an option in Nutrition, Exercise & Wellness. He works as a personal trainer at a local gym in his hometown of Vallejo, Ca. David enjoys working with people and helping them achieve their fitness & health goals, while working on his own goals in the process. Visiting Cuba has always been a dream and goal of his to travel to, with a country rich in history and culture. David has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore the fitness culture in Habana and talk with many professionals in the field. It was a humbling experience and he hopes his writing piece displays his experience in a new atmosphere while telling the stories of the fitness professionals and the challenges they face in their line of work.
